Police are investigating an incident where a man who was stabbed  crashed his car, resulting in his death.

Police say that the vehicle driven by a man who was stabbed, rear-ended a truck during the predawn hours on Tuesday, resulting in the car up bursting into flames. The accident occurred on Route 4 near the Hadarim Interchange northbound.

The victim, 24-years-old from Haifa, was pronounced dead at Mair Hospital in Kfar Saba.

The 50-year-old truck driver was checked by EMS personnel and did not require transport from the scene.

Some reports state that police believe it may have been a self-inflicted stabbing, with the victim intending to commit suicide.
