Rainfall to Continue in Israel – Snow Accumulations in N. Golan Heights


The rainfall which began on Sunday is expected to continue throughout Israel today, Monday, as well as during the night.

The winter system will continue and intensify in the coming days, with significant amounts of rainfall from the north to the Negev. Snow has already begun to accumulate in the northern Golan Heights.

Temperatures in some cities during the days and nights include:
Jerusalem 13-10C (55-50F), Tel Aviv 18-15 (64-59), Haifa 16-15 (60-59), Ashdod 17-15 (62-59), Ein Gedi 22-17 (71-62), Be’er Sheva 17-11 (71-51), Mitzpei Rimon 15-10 (59-50) and Eilat 23-14 (73-57).

The rainstorms are expected to continue on Tuesday, from the north to the northern Negev and no significant change in temperatures expected.

The rain is expected to dissipate on Wednesday accompanied by a slight increase in temperatures.

The stormy weather will resume on Thursday morning, primarily in the north and center of the country. The rain will spread to northern Negev during the afternoon hours. Temperatures will become unseasonably cold.
