Some 4,500 Gazans joined the weekly violent protests at the border fence with Israel on Friday. Terrorists among them threw improvised explosive devices at IDF forces. The protesters also threw rocks and burned tires.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu made a phone call to Vladimir Putin and spoke to the Russian President about the issues of Iran and Syria. A source in the political echelon also said that the pair spoke about Na’ama Issachar and Netanyahu expressed his hope that she would be released soon.

Regional Council leaders decided to pause a planned protest over the security situation in the south as a result of meeting with the IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi and hearing the plans of the IDF for the near future and their efforts to obtain a lasting calm in the area.

Firefighters gained control of a blaze that tore through a toy factory in southern Tel Aviv. Firefighters are still working to put the fire out completely. The blaze ignited on Shvil Street in an underground toy factory. There were no injuries reported in the fire but a number of nearby streets were closed to traffic for the duration of the day.

Dozens of Charedim blocked traffic on Jabotinsky Street in Bnei Brak on Friday night in protest of the public transportation that is taking place on Shabbos in Tel Aviv.

A 49-year-old man was killed after his car hit a pole on Highway 40 near the Yishrash intersection.

A 25-year-old man was seriously injured and a 30-year-old man was moderately injured in a car accident that took place on Highway 431 near the Rishonim interchange.

A 37-year-old man was seriously injured after he fell off a ladder in his home in Tel Aviv.

70,000 people visited Israel’s national parks over Shabbos around the country. The National Parks Authority said that the most visited sites were Masada, The Yarkon Park and Tel Afek, Ein Gedi, and Ein Afek.

With four days left to the dispersal of the Knesset and a new round of elections being called in Israel, no progress has been made and Benny Gantz and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu are still throwing the blame on one another.
