Police located an unlicensed garage in which they found 45 off-road motorcycles, including 8 unidentifiable motorcycles believed to be imported illegally.
On Tuesday night, in an operation in the Bedouin community of Tel Sheva, police worked with Tax Authority and Environmental Affairs Ministry agents and they raided an illegal garage. Tax inspectors confiscated tens of thousands of shekels in case, and three summonses were issued to the owner for violating environmental protection laws.
Twenty motorcycles lack registrations, leading police to believe they were imported in contravention of the law and being assembled on site. They were confiscated and towed from the scene. The owner was taken for questioning.
An investigation is underway addressing both criminal and economic aspects of the case.
