The horrifying images are seared into everyone’s memories – blood-soaked talleisim, a shul floor soaked in blood, and victims wrapped in tefillin. No – not the Holocaust but the shocking terror attack which occurred in Har Nof five years ago, ending the lives of five talmedei chachamim as they davened Shacharis.

Israel singer Meir Gafni released a moving video of a song composed by one of the mispallelim of that Har Nof shul.

The idea of a song occurred to the mispallel during the recent Yamim Noraim period, as he repeated the words: “Act for the sake of those killed in Your holy name,” according to a B’Chadrei Chareidim report on Monday.

The tune ended up on the desk of composer and producer Eli Laufer, who arranged for Meir Gafni to sing the heartfelt tune.
