Mrs. Chavivah Liba Lefkowitz A”H, 66, was niftar during the night. She was a known member of the Gerrer community.

The nifteres was born to HaRav HaChossid Avraham Moshe Zilberberg ZT”L, a prominent Gerrer Chossid. She married Rav Shlomo Gedalya Yosef Lefkowitz, a noted chossid and askan in Gur. He is also the gabbai of the old Shtieble Moshe Yosel of Gur Bnei Brak.

Her son was niftar 15 years ago, an avreich, Rav Yisrael Lefkowitz Z’L, who died of a serious illness. After his petira she only strengthened her acts of chessed.

Three years ago, she became a relative of the Rebbe Shlita, as her granddaughter, a daughter to her son Rav Yaakov Tzvi, a Rosh Kollel in a Gerrer Beis Medrash in Beit Shemesh, married a grandson of the Rebbe, a son to the rebbe’s son-in-law, Rav Bunim Zilberstein.

The levaya began on Monday at 1:00PM from her home at 8 Rav Moshe Ze’ev Feldman in Shcunas Hey in Bnei Brak for kvura in the Vishnitz Cemetery.
