Channel 10 and Channel 13 are reporting that Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit has decided to file fraud and breach of trust charges and an announcement could come as soon as Thursday. There was no immediate confirmation from the Justice Ministry.
Israeli law requires all politicians to resign if charged with a crime – except the Prime Minister.
The report comes minutes after Benny Gantz announced Wednesday night that he had failed to form a new government, dashing his hopes of toppling the long-time Israeli prime minister and pushing the country closer toward an unprecedented third election in less than a year.

And what if……after third time. Then it should be by popular vote if 3 times elections and no govt. Formed.
If Trump is any predictor, going into an election with potential felony charges hanging over your head is actually a net positive since many of your core voters view the judicial system as corrupt.
What is up with AG Mandelblit??! He seems to time his announcements very suspiciously, almost like he’s out to topple Netanyahu. Lately Israel seems like a speeding train with no brakes.
