Some 200 Kadima Party activists on Sunday night attended a Petach Tikvah event intended to show solidarity for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. His supporters attempted to create an air of optimism, stating with a modicum of confidence that the prime minister will overcome and continue leading the nation as he has done to date.

They stated that Olmert is the most fitting in Kadima to serve as prime minister.

The participants in the party event called on supporters to give the prime minister their total support during this critical time when he is under police investigation for alleged bribery and other charges.
