Reports of an Israel-Gaza ceasefire on Thursday morning aroused painful memories for the parents of IDF soldier Hadar Goldin, whose body has been held by Hamas since Operation Protective Edge in 2014 (together with the body of IDF soldier Oron Shaul).

“This morning in particular, it’s our duty to mention that our son Hadar was kidnapped to the tunnel in Rafah during a ceasefire in Gaza,” Simcha and Leah Goldin wrote on Twitter on Thursday. “The cease-fire [in 2014] was approved by Prime Minister Netanyahu and his Cabinet, including Bennett, Israel Katz, Yair Lapid, Bogie Ya’alon, Yuval Steinitz and Avigdor Liberman. And the chief of staff was Benny Gantz.”

דווקא בבוקר הזה מחובתנו להזכיר שבננו הדר נחטף למנהרה ברפיח בזמן הפסקת אש בעזה.

את הפסקת האש אישרו ראש הממשלה נתניהו והקבינט בו היו חברים בנט, ישראל כץ, יאיר לפיד, בוגי יעלון, יובל שטייניץ ואביגדור ליברמן. והרמטכ״ל היה בני גנץ.
