A Jerusalem district police spokesman reports the uncovering of a major marijuana lab in the capital, housed in a two-story building, containing a half a ton of the illegal drug and hundreds of plants.
Police detectives raided the pot factory on October 30, 2019, explaining there were hundreds of marijuana plants. The leaves were also dried and processed for sale in the facility. Seven suspects were arrested during the raid.
When police arrived, they were surprised to see the magnitude of the operation, as a half-ton of cannabis was confiscated from the site along with hundreds of plants. If that were not enough, they used pirate electricity as the operation was illegally hooked up into a streetlight located next to the building.
The suspects taken into custody range in age from 20-50, of which six remain behind bars.
Police call the discovery of this facility a major find in the department’s ongoing war against illegal drugs.
