  1. Im Glad YWN is at it again. To say you you spread Lashon Hara and have no Busha is understatement.
Some how you know the facts and some how you find it Muttar to smear a Talmid Chacham.
Clearly there is a fight but that doesnt give you a hetter to speard lies and spread Lashon Hara.
Even if these boys were wrong the fact that you connect it to the Rabbi and then add more makes it clear
you have not started to learn Hilchos LaShon Hara.
But I guess all these flashy advertisements on the sight is what makes everything Muttar.

  2. Hi Mr. yaakovhakatan. Are you maybe one of the criminals who are herresing Jewish people in boro park? America is a free country if you dont like how ywn are writing their news then kol hakavod there’s a lot of more news stations…

  3. YaakkovKataN: Agreed….all of the Berland hoods along with theirso calld “Rebbe” who is a convicted sex abuser should be thrown in jail and the key thrown away. Its sad that the police seem unable to squash them once and for all. Rarely does one wish for bad things to happen to othr yidden but this case is certain an exception

  4. Like most YWN videos shows nothing but a lot of people in white shirts or black suits running around and crossing a street outside a crosswalk. Why does YWN post meaningless videos. This video would be meaningful if it accompanied an article about frum j-walkers.

  5. yaakovhakatan- who are you to decide he is a talmud chochom? He is clearly far from it judging by the horrific press he creates around the world wherever he goes- lhavdil you dont see that by real gedolim!

  6. Even if R’Berland is/was a Talmid Chochom, he’s clearly not in a position at present to stand at the head of a group of followers, very many of whom need an extremely strong guiding hand. Seems like some of them ought to be jailed. As such, the group poses a clear and present danger to the tzibbur. Warning people to watch out for this group is not necessarily lashon hara. Of course, it all depends on the intent of those reporting the incident.

  7. There is a sad reality that we all need to face. It’s not just about evil that lurks around the world. It’s not not just the disappointment we experience when we are horrified to see cloaks of kedusha and honor used to cover up the serious violations of Torah – both its mitzvos and its values. It is our need to identify how we have ingested this form of corruption in our own lives, and our moral obligation to fix this.

I am one of those who has been privy to quite a heaping helping of this, in E”Y and America. And the defenses that the Yetzer Horah erects are staggering, until one sees the bluff that is sometimes effective. I have heard plenty claim that R’ Berland was a chavrusa to Rav Chaim Kanievsky, and that he was therefore a tzaddik who can do no wrong. yet, our Torah does not consider this a basis for judgment. Elisha ben Abuya, often known as Acheir, was a huge talmid chochom, rebbe to the tanna Rabbi Meir, who “lost it” and went astray. We are also told about Yochanan Kohein Gadol who entered and exited the Kodoshei Kodoshim on Yom Kippur no less than 80 times before he went astray. One’s history may be relevant, but is not always a basis for perfectly accurate judgment.

R’ Berland might well possess a superior fund of Torah knowledge, and he might also have a brilliant mind. But his “Yitzro Gadol” sometimes wins, and the record of recorded fact tells us this is the case. “Dan lekaf zechus” does NOT mean to deny fact. And all the material one would use in his defense does not support changing the truth.

The Berland clan is known for its adoption of wild values, and the use of violence to protect itself from those who disagree with it. That’s fact, and has reams of documented evidence. This cult lacks any “chezkas kashrus”, and one has no right to deny fact, nor does one need to seek alternative explanations for the unacceptable behavior. They have proven that they self-determine what is acceptable or not, and the Torah is not their guide. I am not empowered with the authority to stop them, but I support any action law enforcement takes to protect everyone else from their violence. Until then, they have earned to be marginalized from Klal Yisroel. The yelling about lashon horah is a primitive defense mechanism to brand those who see evil as perpetrators. We’re not. We’re victims of this cult. They need to cease and desist, and to return to values that the Torah sets, not their own whims.

  8. “Even if R’Berland is/was a Talmid Chochom””…..

“Talmedei chachamim” do not abuse women, run around the world making a chilul hashem wherever he landed and continue to allow documented physical assaults in his name. If you wnat to give him the benefit of the doubt and believe that all this happening because he suffering from some sort of dementia and and when he is “no longer in control”, your welcome to give him the benefit of the doubt.

  9. “Hot tempered and violent Israelis. What else is new. The army does this to them.” by TryingToStayCalm (obviously he/she isn’t succeeding.)

Quite possibly the winner of the “most stupid quote of 2019.” It will be hard to beat, but I’m sure there’ll be some serious contenders.

  10. most of the people that I have met or seen who belong to this group are BTs. They were violent individuals and are still violent. You do NOT want to start up with them.

HaShem should help us from people like them…..

  11. yaakovhakatan: A TALMID CHOCHOM???, A RABBI???, This is someone who is constantly oiver the 3 aveiros chamuros, and yet you say this is LASHON HARA??? This isn’t lies at all, on the contrary, this is 100% true and it’s a chiyuv to spread the word about what is going on with this filthy abuser, I live around the corner from him and know exactly what is going on!

  12. Gadol : I actually agree with your point. Personally, I don’t believe he is a TC. I simply meant that even if you want to claim that he is/was one, the community has every legal and halachic right to protect themselves from his violent syndicate.
One more little observation. It’s difficult for anyone in any country to pull the shtick with which he and his group are getting away. I’m guessing that for this level of corruption, there is a colossal amount of $$$ changing hands. Possibly even involving someone in law enforcement or the judiciary….
BTW, there’s a RAMA in Yoreh Deah where he defines a Talmid Chochom as one who knows most of Shas and piskei halachos.
