Two major road accidents took place on Wednesday evening. The first occurred when eight people were injured in an accident that took place between two cars at the Kiryat Gat Interchange of Highway 6. Volunteers from United Hatzalah and ambulance teams from Magen David Adom treated the injured and transported them to Barzilai hospital in Ashkelon.
In a more serious but smaller incident, a motorcyclist was left in serious condition after he slipped with his motorcycle on Amichai Gidi Faglin in Yerushalayim. Once again United Hatzalah volunteers together with MDA ambulances treated the 18-year-old motorcyclist.
Sigalit Mammon, an EMT with Magen David Adom said: “The young man was lying on the sidewalk when we arrived. We performed a full range of medical checkups in the field. He had sustained a head wound which we began to treat. We sedated and intubated the man and transported him to the hospital in stable but serious condition.”
