Major-General Aharon Chaliva, head of the IDF Operational Directorate, has issued an ominous warning regarding Iran’s ability to launch a most serious attack against Israel.

According to the recording aired on KAN11 News, Chaliva was speaking a treasury budgetary meeting during which he explained the threats facing Israel in the coming year. He told participants in the meeting of the “new front”, which is Iraq, warning that passengers coming to and from Ben-Gurion International Airport might become targets and the IDF must constantly monitor all activities regarding Iran, Lebanon and Syria and act in line with constantly developing events.

He added that for reasons he did not detail, for Israel, the year 2020 will be accompanied by a negative potential from a security standpoint.
