Resuscitation was performed on a 10-month-old boy from a chareidi family after he choked while eating soup in a daycare facility on Rashi Street in the Geula neighborhood of Jerusalem on Monday afternoon.

According to MDA, paramedics and EMTs worked on the infant, who was transported in critical condition. MDA reports the call was received for “an unconscious infant” in the daycare facility.

Yossi Gutesman, spokesman for Shaare Zedek Hospital reported later in the day the child arrived sedated and intubated and is now in serious/stable condition in a pediatric intensive care unit.

A name for tehillim was unavailable.
