The fire department responded to a vehicular accident on Asher Viner Street in the Armon HaNatziv neighborhood of the capital on Tuesday night. As a result of the collision, a driver had to be extricated from the vehicle.
When the fire department arrived, firefighters saw a vehicle which operates on propane fuel and the fuel was leaking from the tank positioned in the rear of the vehicle. The tank was damaged in the collision.
They worked to get the driver out quickly, fearing the gas leak posed a life-threatening danger, as some of the responders addressed the leaking gas tank. B’chasdei Hashem, they got the driver out without incident and a hazardous materials unit responded to secure the scene.
