600 mispallalim visited the kever of Yehoshua bin Num and Kalev ben Yefune in Kafr Haris in Shomron on Monday night. They were shocked to see swastikas and graffiti were painted on the kevarim, which were cleaned by soldiers protecting the visitors. The kever is located in the PA (Palestinian Authority) village which is close to the city of Ariel.
Among those who participated in the event were Yossi Dagan, head of the Shomron Regional Council, IDF Colonel Yiftach Norkin, commander of the Ephraim Brigade, Jews from France and Turkey and rabbonim and a tzibur of dati leumi and chareidi mispallalim.
When the swastikas and anti-Semitic graffiti was noticed at the site, the colonel gave the order for soldiers to begin cleaning the area to remove the offensive writings.
