Israel’s winter driving regulations begin this coming Friday, on November 1st, and remain in effect through March 31, 2020.
The regulations include one’s obligation to turn on the vehicle’s headlights during the day. A taxi, bus or commercial vehicle must have on headlights all day and night; on any road whether rural or urban.
Motorcycles and other motorized two-wheeled vehicles must turn on headlights in all settings as is the case with taxis.
Using front/day running lights is insufficient, as they only appear in the front of the vehicle and not the rear. Hence, one must use the vehicle’s headlights/taillights which are visible in both the front and rear of the vehicle.
