A letter that is advertised in Thursday’s Hamodia and Hamevaser, not in Yated Ne’eman, penned by the new heads of Bnei Brak’s kashrus; HaGaon HaRav Yitzchak Isaac Landau and HaGaon Shevach Tzvi Rosenblatt, calls on persons involved in seeking to undermine the kashrus of the city’s rabbonim, to halt immediately.
The rabbonim have become aware that efforts are ongoing to persuade businesses to leave the mehadrin kashrus given by the city’s rabbonim for other ‘badatz’ alternatives, including the Kashrus of HaGaon Rav Yosef Efrati and Sheiris Yisrael.
The letter uses terms including their motives being “jealousy, lust and wealth” (קנאה, תאווה וממון), decrying the ongoing efforts to undermine the city’s Rabbanut kashrus, which is given without seeking a profit as is in the case of the others, all private kashrus agencies.

Its still a free market, even in the hashgacha business. People vote with their feet and if they believe the competing hashgachos of Efrati or Sheiris Yisrael better reflect their standards, than they should feel comfortable purchasing their products without their motives being questioned. I find it funny and a bit bizzare when accusations such as “jealousy and lust” are thrown around by the Badatz crownd against one another.
wake up its 2020 and monopoly days are gone !
