Jerusalem Chief Sephardi Rabbi and former Rishon L’Tzion, HaGaon HaRav Shlomo Moshe Amar Shlita, sent a letter congratulating Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on his 70th birthday. In the letter, Rav Amar added that if he keeps Shabbos, he will “merit seeing yeshuos”.

Rav Amar sent the letter on Tuesday, and the former Rishon L’Tzion congratulated Mr. Netanyahu on his birthday, as well as hoping to direct him towards accepting Shabbos. He ended the letter writing;

תפילתי שה’ ישפיע לך אורות מאירים בכל ותזכה לעמוד לימין השבת וקדשי ישראל ובזכותם תראה ישועות קרובות אמן
