A 34-year-old resident of Bnei Ayish, near Ashdod, was indicted at the end of September for allegedly breaking into a home in an area moshav along with others. During the break-in, they dragged out a large safe using their vehicle, netting millions of shekels and other valuables.
The indictment alleges the suspect arrived at the home and entered via a window. He neutralized the alarm and ripped out a security camera. He then entered the room where the safe was located.
The thieves then poured a substance on the floor to make it easier to drag the safe. They attached the large safe to their vehicle and pulled it outside on the gravel road.
