25-year-old Yosef Dov Bakar Z”L was Niftar on Wednesday following critical injuries sustained in a vehicular accident in Kazbegi, near Tbilisi, in Georgia earlier in the week. He was niftar in a Georgian hospital. The victim was a resident of the Har Nof neighborhood.

The Niftar was heading to Uman for Rosh hashanah, and had stopped in Georgia for a connection flight. The serious accident occurred near the capital of Georgia

The Niftar was transported to a local hospital, and ZAKA’s International Division became involved immediately, along with the Israel Foreign Ministry and local embassy. Efforts took place to fly the young man’s family to his bedside following the serious accident.

The Chabad shaliach in Georgia, Rav Meir Kozlovsky, has become involved, working to assist the family along with the agencies mentioned above. According to local residents who are familiar with the niftar, he learned in Yeshivas Beis Yitzchak Lifta and his father HaRav Shmuel is is a Rosh Yeshiva in Yeshivas Yam Hatalmud.

The aron is expected to arrive in Eretz Yisrael on Wednesday night for a Levaya in Yerushalayim.
