Magen David Adom, in a joint project with Ichilov Hospital, dedicated a new advanced paramedic unit, stationed out of the hospital. Unlike a standard paramedic unit, which carries paramedics, this unit will include a physician and the vehicle is stocked with additional equipment, permitting the doctor to perform “advanced procedures” outside the emergency room.

President Reuven Rivlin commented, “Certainly Nechama would be happy upon hearing of the advanced unit which save human lives”.

Dr. Daniel Trozky, who heads the Ichilov Hospital emergency room, added the special project with MDA and the cooperation of Ichilov, permits ultrasound, lab tests and other diagnostics in the field, which he is confident will curtail patient intake and diagnosis times at the hospital.
