On Sunday, 7 Tishrei, corresponding to October 6, 2019, Yitzchak Hall in the Ma’aras HaMachpelah will be open to mispallalim. The hall is generally closed to Jews year-round, used by Muslims exclusively.

The custom, which was established by HaGaon HaRav Mordechai Eliyahu ZT”L 22 years ago continues today. Rishon L’Tzion HaGaon HaRav Yitzchak Yosef and Chief Rabbi of Israel HaRav Dovid Lau, will be participating in this year’s event along with the Chief Sephardi Rabbi of Tzefas HaRav Shmuel Eliyahu , Chief Rabbi of Kiryat Gat HaRav Shlomo Ben-Chamu, cabinet ministers, MKs and public officials, along with the thousands of mispallalim expected to attend from around Israel.
