A 9-year-old child was struck by a truck and moderately injured on Rashbi Street in Modi’in Illit on Wednesday afternoon. He sustained moderate injuries. The truck did come to a halt, but not before slamming into a caravan serving as a kindergarten. Magen David Adom transported a 3.5-year-old boy in moderate condition with a head injury. In addition, a 35-year-old man with a light injury was also transported; with both going to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer.
Modi’in Illit head of United Hatzalah, Shmuel Rosengarten responded along with others. “We are talking about a truck that struck a boy and then slammed into a caravan of an educational institution. I provided the initial treatment at the scene of the accident. The child was in moderate condition.”
B’chasdei Hashem the situation was not worse, as one can see the size of the truck in the accompanying photo and it is clear just what disaster could have occurred.
