Yemina candidate Naftali Bennet last week released details of US President Donald Trump’s ‘Deal of the Century’, America’s latest effort to bring about peace in the Mideast between Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority).
According to Bennet, who released a map to get his point across; most of Yehuda and Shomron would be controlled by the PA, and the yishuvim would be tiny islands living in Palestine according to the White House’s plan.
The attached photo of the map shows PA areas in black and the Jewish communities in white. He points out all Jewish communities are “surrounded entirely by Hamas, [Fatah] Tanzim and the PLO”.
Bennet adds, “It’s Gehenoim for all the residents of Ariel, Ofra and Kiryat Arba. The end of settlements”. According to him, “Netanyahu spoke about sovereignty, but intentionally forgot to mention “sovereignty over Areas ‘C’ [only according to the Oslo Agreements]”. He promised not a single yishuv will be evacuated, and he is technically correct, but in reality, the plan will destroy yishuvim.
“No Israeli will agree to live within an enemy enclave” Bennet added, “This is exactly like Yishuv Netzarim in Gush Katif. A narrow road leading to the community surrounded by a wall”. He attacked Netanyahu for presenting the Deal of the Century in a positive light by diverting attention to sovereignty over the Jordan Valley.
Bennet questions, “Have you asked yourself the price that will be paid? Why Trump is waiting until after elections? Did you wonder why he [Netanyahu] is trying to totally eradicate the right-wing as he did four months ago? The answer if the ‘threatening plan’. It is coming. Wake up!”

Yet another failure on the part of President Trump to secure rights and peace for Israel. We were promised since the last election that we would have the “deal of the century”; a deal in which Israeli sovereignty and power would be recognized and acknowledged, only to find out that his solution would be to utterly destroy any process made in the land in terms of defense. How long do you think it will take until the Palestinians tire of their new territory and promptly look in jealousy at their nearest Jewish settlement? Will Trump promise to defend our homes and fields from the next Intifada? He’d better be vigilant then because judging by the complete siege held on these settlements all it takes is a single attack and then he has Jewish blood on his hands. His supporters danced with joy when our president declared Yerushalayim our eternal capital but will weep in sadness by the decision to annex our land, our labor, and toil, to an enemy at our gates. If this is his payment for the Jewish vote and support then why should we back him by the next election? A sincerely hope that my plea has been heard and that you recognize the grave danger that imminently lies before us.
Trust neither Bennett, nor Netanyahu. Both are mercenaries in the the employment of their own egos and drives for self-aggrandizement.
