Community Day with the police and other emergency agencies was hosted in the Ramat Shlomo neighborhood of Jerusalem – hundreds of residents of the area, including adults and children came to meet the police up front, including sappers, K9 unit, beat cops, fireman and MDA EMS personnel towards obtaining a glimpse at their world and the daily activities they perform to keep everyone safe.
For the organizers, it was a success, as hundreds of parents and children came to the compound, talking to the police about their work and they received a memorable experience and a glimpse into the world of police ad emergency and rescue forces…This is an integral part of strengthening our relationship between the community and police.
The event was carefully planned for weeks and a number of units serving in the Jerusalem area took part. The units included patrol officers, IDF combatants, police anti-terrorist units, mounted unit, border police, K9, and other rescue services including MDA and the fire department.
Some of the members of the various units in the police and other agencies displayed their expertise to the visitors.
