In line with decisions announced by the High Court of Justice, a large police force was seen on Sunday in the area of Kikar HaNasi in the Nahar HaYarden area of Beit Shemesh. City workers were protected by the large police force required, to watch after them as the cameras are installed, in compliance with the court’s order.
As the work began, a crowd consisting of local residents began gathering, but B”H there are no reports of violence.
The reasons for the installation of the cameras include constant graffiti against the city administration and Zionist state, as well as trying to enforce gender separation on area sidewalks.
