Yisrael Beitenu party chairman, MK Avigdor Lieberman, on Friday night accused the Likud party of planning to have activists use violence at voting stations after a request to place surveillance cameras in Arab sector polling stations was denied by the Central Election Committee. Likud officials deny the accuracy of Lieberman’s statements.
Lieberman announces that he favors cameras in not only the Arab sector, but in the chareidi sector as well. He adds that everyone must get the message, to get out and fulfil one’s obligation to vote and not just view Election Day as a day off from work.
Each accuses the other of gimmicking towards gaining votes ahead of Election Day.
