B’chasdei Hashem, Soldier Seriously Injured in His Head by a Stone is Recuperating


The condition of the IDF soldier who was seriously injured after being struck in his head with a stone during non-operational activities, is improving.

According to information released from the Galil Hospital, after 20 hours, during which the soldier was intubated and placed in a medically induced coma and underwent neurosurgery for his brain injury, his condition is improving.

On Thursday at 11:00AM, the soldier was listed in moderate/stable condition, and moved from the neurological intensive care unit to the neurological unit.

According to the head of neurology in the hospital, Professor Jean Soustiel, “the injured man arrived in serious condition with a fractured skull and intracerebral hemorrhaging. He was immediately taken for life-saving surgery, which lasted about 2.5 hours, with the goal of stopping the intracerebral hemorrhage. His condition has improved greatly since the operation and he is now communicating with his family.
