Speaking at the Independence Day ceremony awarding 120 outstanding soldiers, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi stated, even on Independence Day, during the festivities, we do not forgot our obligation to bring the captive soldiers home.

Ashkenazi stated there are many challenges and missions ahead of us, among them being our obligation to return the captives home to their families.
