Yahadut Hatorah is revealing its demands for entering into the next coalition government, which it believes, and hopes will be formed by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
According to a BeChadrei Chareidim report, during an interview, MK Yaakov Asher revealed the party will be demanding a deputy ministerial post in the Education Ministry, with the ministerial authority.
According to Asher, “in order to prevent the inherent discrimination in the Ministry of Education between the chareidi student and the others, Yahadut Hatorah must require a Deputy Minister of Education with significant administrative, pedagogical and budgetary independence when it comes to chareidi education. This is the only way to eradicate the never-ending discrimination in special education”.
Asher explained “That while we have no issues with Education Minister Peretz, who came to the post with clean hands to do good for all students, but the structured discrimination of the chareidi student in the Ministry of Education requires a great deal of work and genuine ministerial cooperation and a deputy minister responsible for chareidi education”.
