Police on Sunday morning were summoned to the Choma Shlishis neighborhood of Jerusalem, as there were reports of “an explosion”. Police found fragments of a stun grenade in the yard of the home of the head of the Shuvu Banim cult in Breslov, Rabbi Eliezer Berland.
Police sappers were summoned to the scene to address the fragments of the explosive device and crime scene technicians began gathering evidence.
It is believed the incident was criminally, and not nationalistically motivated, perhaps an escalation in the ongoing battle between the factions in Breslov, the mainstream and those who follow Berland. The investigation continues.
