After years of intentionally disconnecting from one another politically, both Porush and Deri met on Thursday morning in a step to mend fences. According to a BeChadrei Chareidim report, the two agreed to cooperate with one another and to put their differences aside.
According to the report, Deri invited Porush for a meeting that lasted for 2.5 hours, held in Deri’s home in Safsufa. The two reportedly discussed future political cooperation, and a first step will be participating in a political event together next week.
The event is scheduled to take place in Elad on Thursday, August 29, 2019, at which time Deri will be the guest of honor of Elad Mayor Yisrael Porush, Deputy Minister Meir Porush’s son.
The go-between who brought the two together was Shlomei Emunim representative Meir Rubinstein, who personally took part in the meeting in Safsufa.
