A Chassidish young man (17) and resident of Elad, was seriously injured in a car accident that took place on Highway 4711 near the city on Wednesday evening.

Chapter Head of United Hatzalah for the region Moshe Saadon reported from the scene: “With the assistance of one of our volunteers, a paramedic, who is one of the most active women here in the city, we provided initial medical treatment to the young man who was seriously injured. The man, a pedestrian, was taken to Beilinson Hospital for further treatment after the initial care the he received at the scene. He was suffering from a major head injury.”

Magen David Adom ambulance service transported the patient to the hospital following the accident which occurred just before 11:30 p.m.

The young man was walking along a walking path that hundreds of pedestrians use regularly.

The police were at the and opened a full investigation into the cause of the accident.
