First assistant to the President of Ukraine, Mr. Sergiy Shefir, and President of Health & Medicine and Advisor to the President for Health & Medicine and head of the State Health Committee Dr. Mikhail Radotsky visited Magen David Adom, and met with senior officials in the organization to learn from MDA technology and methods in order to Implement some of these and improve response and arrival times in Ukraine.
Mr. Shefir and Dr. Radotsky were impressed by the advanced technology of Magen David Adom, the ability to activate volunteers, and the response and arrival times. As part of the visit to the National Operations Center, Ukrainian President’s senior advisors observed the unique MDA rescue vehicles, including ambulances, MICUs, mini electric vehicles and other unique tools, and experience using the MDA emergency ambulance driving simulation system.
In recent years, there has been a significant increase in visits by senior medical officials from around the world, who are impressed by the capabilities of Magen David Adom, Israel’s national rescue organization. At the same time, MDA officials are participating in professional international delegations.
First assistant to the President of Ukraine, Mr. Sergiy Shefir: “I was very impressed with the technology developed at Magen David Adom and used by the organization in the State of Israel. The territory of Ukraine is larger than the State of Israel, and our population is larger, which challenges us in the area of emergency medicine and rapid arrival to patients. We intend to invest the best effort, in collaboration with you, in order to make the emergency medical and ambulance operations in our state more efficient.”
Dr. Mikhail Radotsky: “I started my way as a medic and later as a paramedic in Kiev. A few years later, my mother became ill, and we brought her to Israel for treatment. There, I was first exposed to the professionalism and efficiency of Magen David Adom, and I promised my late mother that we would try to bring to Ukraine what we saw here in MDA. We are here on the mission of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and we believe that by using your technologies, we will be able to shorten patient arrival times in Ukraine, thereby saving lives.”
