Today, as the nation mourns it’s fallen, members of security forces and terror victims, Jewish security prisoners will remain under lock and key while Arab prisoners and terrorists will be permitted to attend memorial services and Thursday’s Independence Day events in the nation’s prisons.

Israel Prison Authority officials insist the Arab prisoners must be permitted to attend events, as is their basic right, and therefore, the Jewish prisoners must be distanced since having both populations present would possibly result in conflict.

Efforts to permit the security prisoners to attend fell on deaf ears, as prison officials insist the terrorists cannot be barred from events, ceremonies that mark the fall of police, soldiers and terror victims, possibly victims of their actions or the actions of their colleagues.
