The separate beach in the northern city of Haifa will remain open until 8:00PM after agreement was reached between Deputy Mayor Michael Alfer and the mayor.
In line with the agreement reached by Alfer with Mayor Einat Kalish-Rotem and the city’s lifeguards, the separate beach operating in Kiryat Chaim will remain open to the chareidi tzibur until 8:00PM. The move was done to accommodate the frum tzibur during bein hazmanim.
The new agreement does not include erev Shabbos when the beach closes at 6:00PM. Beginning on September 1, 2019 until the end of the swim season, October 28, 2019, the beach will remain open until 6:00PM.
The schedule
• Women: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00AM-8:00PM
• Men: Mondays and Wednesday from 8:00AM to 8:00PM.
• Fridays: men until 6:00PM
Haifa City Hall announces it has allocated significant resources to accommodate the frum tzibur by arranging the separate beach, including the required separation on the paths leading to the separate area, additional foot-washing stations, additional showers and more.
