Police are investigating the Sunday stabbing death of a 73-year-old Netanya man, whose lifeless body was found during the early evening hours in the entrance to a building. Police are operating on the premise the motive for the murder was a business dispute but have not yet ruled out the possibility of another motive.

Neighbor Harel Rachamim reports that “A teenager who lives in the building told his mother that there is a pool of blood in the elevator. He told his mother to come downstairs immediately and see the terrible site, a man lying on the ground. They phoned police immediately”.

The wife of the victim was at home at the time of the murder. Their daughter arrived a short time later.

MDA paramedic Yarden Dahari reported that when they arrived on the scene, they checked the victim and it was too late, pronouncing him dead on the scene.

Police are directing their probe against a city resident who “knew the victim well”. They believe he stabbed the victim to death during a business dispute. Police point out the victim did not have a criminal record.
