The father-in-law of the Pinsk Karlin Rebbe Shlita, the elder of the Karlin-Stolin Chassidim, HaRav HaChossid Rav Avraham Halevi Horowitz ZT”L, was niftar in Yerushalayim on Tuesday, 5 Av 5779, at the age of 93.

The niftar was the son of Rav Moshe Aharon Halevi Horowitz and the son-in-law of Rav Yitzchak Eliyahu Eisenbach, and lived in Batei Warsaw in Meah Shearim, one of the most well-known personalities in the community.

A chossid is quoted telling Kikar Shabbos News that even in his old age, he would be certain to wash the hands of Kohanim during tefilos in the beis medrash, despite the difficulties for him walking.

The levaya began at 1:30PM at the Shamgar Funeral Home, to the Karlin-Stolin Beis Medrash on Avinoam Yellin Street in Yerushalayim and to Har Menuchos for kvura.
