Beit Shemesh Mayor Aliza Bloch and Councilman Yisrael Silberstein, who is responsible for healthcare in the city, carried out a professional visit along with Prof. Ze’ev Rothstein, CEO of Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, towards advancing the construction of a satellite of the hospital in Beit Shemesh. This was just one of ongoing meetings towards advancing the project towards bringing a new healthcare facility with all the advancements to residents of Beit Shemesh and the surrounding areas.
Mayor Bloch commented, “The residents of Beit Shemesh deserve a hospital. The city has 4,000 births annually, and a facility is required. Forty percent of the city’s population is under 16, and we need a pediatric emergency room. The city has 130,000 residents and this is expected to triple in the coming years, as we require a hospital. Therefore, I see the paramount importance in advancing the project towards the construction of a hospital in the coming years. We will work day and night so that there will be a hospital in Beit Shemesh for all the residents are entitled to a high medical service standard in our home, Beit Shemesh”.
