A ceremonious event was held at the IDF naval base in Haifa on Tuesday evening, as IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-General Aviv Kochavi presented the prestigious Shayetet 13 naval commando unit with the Chief of Staff Award, given to the commander of the navy, Admiral Eli Sharvit.

During the ceremony, the commander of Shayetet 13 received the Chief of Staff Award on behalf of the unit, and additional awards were presented to the 3rd Brigade missile boat and the commander of the Shayetet 7 submarine, along with another classified naval force, for their meritorious service and a series of classified operations carried out during the past year.
