Police stopped a truck driver for a routine inspection, a double tractor trailer weighing in at 48 tons. The driver presented a license belonging to someone else. Police soon learned their driver was a 71-year-old who never had a driver’s license for a truck, had no problem driving the double tractor trailer.

The truck was traveling on Route 40 near Lod Interchange when it was stopped for inspection. Police checked and learned the tachograph had not been changed for a week. Police learned the 71-year-old is a resident of Yaffo.

Police also learned his license for a private vehicle was suspended over a year ago. He was arrested and brought before a traffic court judge, who released him with restrictions.
