After being unsatisfied with offers made by the Bayit Yehudi party, the Otzma Yehudit party has decided to team up with the Noam party, the new party affiliated with HaGaon HaRav Tzvi Tau Shlita, Rosh Yeshivas Har HaMor.
According to a Srugim News report, following a number of meetings, Otzma Yehudit and Noam officials reached an understanding to merge in a ‘technical bloc’, to run on one combined list in the upcoming election, and then splitting into individual parties in Knesset. The election for 22nd Knesset is scheduled for Tuesday, September 17, 2019.
Otzma and Noam officials believe that their union “will bring success to the right-wing and prevent the establishment of a left-wing government”.
In the meantime, talks between Bayit Yehudi and New Right continue in the hope of signing an agreement to run together in the Knesset election.
