A 40-year-old male was critically wounded after being shot by a 74-year-old man during an argument over a parking spot in the Azrieli Mall in Ramle on Sunday afternoon. Police have taken the elderly shooter into custody.

Police report “The preliminary investigation shows that the 40-year-old was shot during a quarrel over a parking spot. He is in critical condition.

“The shooter, 74, from Lod, has been taken into custody. Police are gathering evidence from the scene as an investigation to determine what led to the shooting is underway”.

MDA paramedic Ofer Shish explains the victim was in traumatic cardiac arrest and CPR and advanced life support measures were implemented as the victim was rushed to Assaf HaRofeh Hospital.

The man was pronounced dead by doctors in the hospital shortly following his arrival.
