ARRESTED: Man Wearing Chareidi Garb Who Violently Assaulted Protesters At Kikar Shabbos

(VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE)

As YWN reported this past Wednesday, a male dressed in chareidi garb began violently  assaulting chareidi protesters at Kikar Shabbos in Jerusalem with brass knuckles. On motzei Shabbos, he appeared again during a protest and he was arrested.

Three days after he was captured on video assaulting chareidi protesters at Jerusalem’s Kikar Shabbos, he was detected once again during another protest at the same location on motzei Shabbos, during yet another protest over the arrest of talmid yeshiva Eliezer Rubin for being a draft dodger. This time around, the 18-year-old attacker dressed in chareidi clothing was taken into custody by police.

As reported by YWN-Israel, the attacker used brass knuckles in his attack against chareidi protesters, leading to victims sustaining facial trauma.

The suspect is repeatedly described as “wearing chareidi garb” so it remains uncertain if he is chareidi or possibly just dressed this way to avoid standing out and being apprehended.

During his arraignment hearing on Sunday, the 18-year-old suspect was released with restrictions including a ban from all illegal protests for a half year and refraining from any contact with anyone involved in the ongoing investigation. He was also required to put up NIS 5000 bail.

  1. The israeli police should take some lessons from NYC how to control protests. NYC has rallies, protests etc all the time. Rearly do they get out of control. First of all you have enough police to cover the event. The police here are proactive they don,t wait for things to get out of control. If the protests in kiksr shabbos were i ny the cops would 200 police buses 2000 cops and as soon as one person steps into the street they would be arrested. Lastly why dont they hold the leaders accountable.

  2. Please follow-up on this vicious sadistic maniac
He is a danger to society

Who needs monitoring probably for the rest of his life

  3. How will they determine if he is “really” chareidi? If he davens in a chareidi shul? Regardless he is an imposter….

  4. Why was he released on bail? He is at the very least, dangerous, and quite possibly mentally ill as well. I don’t agree with these ridiculous protests but this violence is abhorrent. Lock him up!
