A plane landed in Ben-Gurion International Airport on Monday, Ron Arad’s 50th birthday, with writing in his honor painted on it.

The classmates of Ron from his 1976 pilot training course took part in the event, sadly taking note that for Ron, this is his 22nd birthday in captivity, without his family and friends.

Nevertheless, many remain hopeful that one day, he will return, admitting however they fear that he may be angry and accuse them of remaining silent for too many years and not doing enough to bring him home sooner.

The participants of the event mentioned the three latest IDF captives, Gilad Shalit, Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev, warning the government is permitting time to pass and G-d forbid, another Ron Arad case when too much time has been permitted to pass to bring him home as should have been done.
