The Sheiris Yisrael hechsher has launched a new shechita operation in Poland for cattle. The new operation is reportedly to enable the hashgacha to meet the growing demand for its meat.

Last week, the new operation began in Poland, which is in addition to and not instead of the already existing operation under the hechsher.

The new operation is being set up to prove over 1000 tons of beef annually, Kikar Shabbos News reports. The setting up of the new operation is being supervised by HaGaon HaRav Yisrael Zikerman, among the hechsher’s rabbonim involved in shechita abroad.

This week, badatz Rav HaGaon Rav Tzvi Weber headed a team of shochtim to set up the new operation in Poland towards ensuring the new shechita meets the high stands of the hechsher.
