In response to leaked information that a meeting was to be held between Bayit Yehudi party chairman, Minister Rabbi Rafi Peretz and Otzma Yehudit party representative Itamar Ben-Gvir, the latter canceled the meeting. Ben-Gvir told the media, “Bayit Yehudi offered me the fourth and eighth positions – we reject the offer. Our demands remain as they were; the third, sixth, ninth and twelfth positions.
Ben-Gvir announced the meeting, which was to be held Thursday afternoon, was canceled as Peretz was not showing any flexibility regarding Otzma Yehudit’s positions on a combined election ticket.
Ben-Gvir reportedly phoned Peretz, telling him there is no point in meeting if he is unwilling to give him the slots he stated.
