A woman sustained serious injury fleeing from guards in Jerusalem’s Mamilla Mall on Wednesday evening.

The Arab female, a resident of the eastern capital, was apprehended by guards shoplifting from a store in the mall. She tried running from the guards, and she jumped from a height, sustaining serious injury.

Magen Davin Adom responded to the scene at about 6:40PM, reporting the woman was found lying on Yitzchak Kariv Street. Paramedics reported the woman in her 30s was in serious condition, suffering head trauma.

Officials in the trauma unit of Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem reported her condition as “serious” after her preliminary workup.
