Many drivers who have a dashcam camera can attest to its effectiveness, explaining how it prevented them from receiving summonses. In Israel, it has been reported too often that police who must fill a quota accuse a driver of a moving violation and having a dashcam recorder saved the day. This is one such case.

In this case, a driver was stopped for running a red traffic signal. The driver insisted he did not run the light, but the policewoman said otherwise.

Once the driver explained he has a dashcam installed and can prove he did not run the light as alleged, the officer instructed him to “drive!”, to get on with his day, forgetting about the alleged running the light.
